The goal was achieved.”

According to the ministry, “the Ukrainian military-industrial complex suffered significant damage.”

In an earlier announcement, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashekov said that the country's missiles also hit a factory producing and storing equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian navy.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry also confirmed that its forces had for the first time intercepted SCALP cruise missiles supplied by France to Ukraine.

* Russian UAVs threaten to attack Izmail port: On August 15, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that a large group of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) entered the mouth of the Danube River and headed towards the Izmail River port, near the border with Romania.

Some social media groups reported hearing air defense systems opening fire in the area near two Danube ports - Izmail and Reni.

Meanwhile, the governor of the southern Odessa region, Oleh Kiper, asked residents of the Izmail district to take shelter at around 1:30 a.m. local time, but canceled the airstrike warning an hour later.

Ukraine's Danube River ports accounted for about a quarter of its grain exports before Russia pulled out of an agreement to provide safe passage for Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea.
