The Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen has just sent a document requesting the Provincial People's Committee to support funding to overcome the consequences of storm No. 11.
The Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen province said that in the recent flood, the province's education sector suffered about 181.5 billion VND in damage. To ensure teaching and learning activities, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen province proposed that the province support 181.5 billion VND to overcome the consequences.
Of which, the support amount for the Department of Education and Training and its affiliated units is 16 billion VND; the support amount for educational institutions under the People's Committees of communes that suffered damage is 165.5 billion VND.

According to the proposal, the support budget for the Department of Education and Training and its affiliated units will be assigned to the Department for allocation to its affiliated units; the support budget for educational institutions will be assigned to the People's Committees at the commune level for allocation to implementing units.
Regarding the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 11, on October 16, the working group of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province and Xuan Truong construction enterprise inspected and surveyed Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School (Cho Ra commune, Thai Nguyen province) to develop a plan for construction and relocation.
In order to share with the people in the flooded area of Thai Nguyen, on October 14, Xuan Truong Enterprise donated 2 billion VND to the province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. At the same time, it proposed to support Thai Nguyen province to build a new school.
At the survey, representatives of Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School said that due to the impact of storms and rains, a serious landslide occurred at the main school site in the area below the 2-storey school headquarters. The estimated volume of landslides was about 250m3, burying the entire school gate and part of the internal road leading to the school. Above the 2-storey headquarters building, the multi-purpose building had a subsidence phenomenon on the foundation, and cracks appeared on the walls and pillars.

At Ban Vang school, rocks and soil collapsed into the computer room, breaking the wall and burying a server; at the same time, rocks and soil filled the back of the teachers' waiting room, grades 2 and 3, causing cracks in the wall, threatening to collapse.
After inspecting the current situation at Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School and planning the location for the new school, Mr. Vu Duy Hoang directed that the selection of the school's construction location must ensure criteria on planning, safety, and convenience for students, while also being consistent with the local educational development orientation in the coming period.
Previously, on October 10, after inspecting the landslide situation at Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong directed the People's Committee of Cho Ra commune to urgently develop a plan to propose a suitable location to relocate the entire school to a new location, ensuring the safety of teachers and students; at the same time, assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Department of Construction to conduct a general review of all schools in the northern communes located in locations with weak geology and at risk of insecurity.
