With the same increase, coffee prices in Dak Lak province rose to 104,000 VND/kg. In Lam Dong province, after increasing by 100 VND/kg, coffee was purchased by traders at 103,600 VND/kg.
According to experts, the recovery of coffee prices in August was due to many factors, including: the imbalance between supply and demand; the recent decrease in Brazil's coffee exports; changes in international trade policy, especially the US's imposition of high tariffs on imported goods from Brazil.
As for pepper, the price continues to be stable in the market and unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, the average pepper purchase price in key areas is 140,800 VND/kg.
Accordingly, in Gia Lai, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, pepper is being purchased by traders at the same price of 140,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Lam Dong and Dak Lak provinces, pepper prices continue to hold the highest position in the country, at 142,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices have remained stable and high due to limited supply, while demand from major markets such as China, the US and Europe is recovering. Some farmers are actively holding onto their stocks in anticipation of higher prices, further reducing the amount of pepper entering the market and creating further pressure on prices in the short term.
