The first working day of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress

On September 29, in Viet Tri ward, the 1st Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session and organized discussion activities. Attending the Congress were 500 delegates representing more than 257,000 party members in the whole province.

The theme of the Congress is "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting the strength of great solidarity and cultural traditions of the homeland; pioneering in innovation, creativity, and digital transformation; creating breakthroughs for rapid and sustainable development, together with the whole country, being self-reliant, confident, and advancing strongly in the era of national growth".

Speaking at the opening of the preparatory session, comrade Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, asked delegates to uphold their sense of responsibility, concentrate their intelligence, actively participate in discussions, and contribute quality and valuable opinions to successfully complete the content of the Congress.

Delegates voted to approve the agenda and working rules of the Congress.

At the preparatory session, the Congress elected a 15-member Presidium, a 2-member Secretariat, and a 5-member Congress Delegate Qualification Examination Committee.

Structure of delegates attending the Congress.

The Draft Report on Synthesizing Comments on the Draft Documents of the 1st Provincial Party Congress received a total of 28,557 comments. The Draft Report on Synthesizing Comments on the Draft Documents of the 14th National Party Congress received 25,647 comments.

The Provincial House of Culture and Arts was chosen as the venue for the Congress.

The delegates discussed and contributed their opinions in 7 discussion groups and in the hall. A total of 51 papers were presented, along with many opinions expressed directly in the group discussions.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong spoke at the group discussion.
