At the film premiere at Lotte Tay Ho cinema complex, Hanoi , director Vu Thanh Vinh and the cast Thuan Nguyen, Uyen An, Quoc Truong, Phuong Lan, Lam Bao Chau and especially two stars from Thailand - Moslhong (Mos) and Isbanky (Bank) had the opportunity to interact and chat with the audience.

Director Vu Thanh Vinh emotionally said that this was the first time he introduced his work in Hanoi: “I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I want to make films to connect love. That is the message I always send in my works. And I hope you will love this film too.”

Having been successful as a game show producer, this return to cinema brings director Vu Thanh Vinh a lot of pressure. He affirmed that he will continue to work seriously, turning pressure into motivation to bring Vietnamese cinema closer to the audience with stories rich in humanity.

"After nearly 30 years working in television, I would still be fine if I didn't make films. But cinema is a challenge that I have longed for, a dream that I have cherished and saved for many years to realize. Therefore, the thing that puts the most pressure on me is how to convince the audience that I can succeed in this field. As for revenue, if it is good, it is the motivation to continue reinvesting in new projects," the director shared.

Director Vu Thanh Vinh also confided that, with this second film, he feels he has improved a lot compared to his first film. The reception and trust from the audience is the motivation for me to do better in the next projects.

“Cinema has great power: it not only evokes love for the country and pride, but also touches the deepest corners of each person’s soul. Through this film, I want the audience to realize that in family and in love, sometimes we hurt the person we love because of love. Love requires patience. No one wants to fall, but when they fall, everyone hopes to have an arm to lift them up,” the director emphasized.

Le Khanh and Quoc Truong in the movie.

Actor Quoc Truong shared that he has been to Hanoi many times but each time is as exciting as the first time. Familiar to audiences from his “bad boy” and villain roles, this time Quoc Truong tries his hand at the role of Doctor Truong - a positive role.

The actor admitted that this was a new challenge: “Until now, Truong’s forte has been villain roles. In real life, I’m not really a villain, but I don’t know why every time I play a villain, it suits me, the audience remembers and is impressed. However, after a long time of acting, I start to get bored, because those traits are repeated over and over again. As an actor, Truong also doesn’t want to fall into a stereotype, so recently I’ve prioritized more positive roles.”

Quoc Truong also shared that in real life he is lucky to have many friends who are doctors, so it feels like "the timing has come" - very suitable to try to bring his real-life personality into the character: cheerful, active, cute and loyal.

The actor also said that after the film was released, he received a lot of positive feedback about this role, and felt very happy. The hardest thing about playing the character is when the character is angry - if not restrained, it will easily reveal the villain's nature. Therefore, he always tries to express his anger and suffering in the way of a loving, gentle, and lovable person, to keep the psychological flow correct from beginning to end.

Le Khanh and Thuan Nguyen before a scene.

In their love roles, Thuan Nguyen and Uyen An had many romantic scenes. Both revealed that their working principles are to respect their co-stars and be absolutely professional.

Thuan Nguyen shared: “Uyen An is a great co-star, dedicated and devoted. We have special chemistry, so many scenes only needed to be filmed 1 or 2 times.”

Uyen An revealed: "Filming a love scene with someone we just met is really difficult. But with Thuan's guidance, plus the romantic setting, it was easier for us to get into character."

For his first appearance on the big screen, Lam Bao Chau revealed that he was quite hesitant, but with the encouragement from singer Le Quyen, he had more motivation and confidence to return to the entertainment market, to return to cinema to fulfill his unfinished dream. In the role of Le Bi, Le Bao Chau had to portray a negative character, completely different from his real-life image. He recounted the fight scene with Thuan Nguyen, where he was hit on the back 5 times with a large stick, causing his back to be bruised after many takes.

When asked if he was worried that the audience would hate him, he humorously replied: “Being hated is fun. I even want to do the opposite to reverse the audience's feelings.”

In “Chi nga em nang”, actress Phuong Lan plays Dao - Hai Au’s best friend. Although she is not the main character, her performance brings laughter to the audience and contributes to the development of the couple Au-Luc.

Phuong Lan said that this is her return to the big screen after 2 years of absence, so the actress hopes that the audience will welcome her as well as the movie Chi nga em nang. “The role of Dao in the movie is just a small role, but I hope to receive encouragement from everyone. I always love Vietnamese movies, I go to see almost every movie that comes out. With 'Chi nga em nang', I feel that this is a "new spice", a different spiritual dish this year. I believe this is a healing movie. When watching, everyone will feel more love for their family, more appreciation for their brothers, sisters, and younger siblings."
