Lac Duong planted 3,400 trees to welcome the Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress

A large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees, youth union members and people of Lac Duong commune attended the launching ceremony.

On October 4, Lac Duong Commune People's Committee organized a tree planting launching ceremony to welcome the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Vice Chairman of Lac Duong Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dac Viet spoke at the launching ceremony.

More than 200 cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, union members, youth union members, people of Lac Duong commune and representatives of Lac Duong Forest Protection Department, Bidoup - Nui Ba Forest Protection Department, Da Nhim Protection Forest Management Board attended the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Lac Duong Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dac Viet said that this is an activity to welcome the 1st Congress of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and creating consensus among all classes of people about the role and importance of trees and flowers for the landscape, environment and people's lives.

This activity also helps to create habits and high self-awareness in planting, caring for, protecting trees and flowers from each citizen, household, agency, and enterprise, in order to create more landscape from the environment, improve the quality of life of people, contribute to implementing the criteria for building new rural areas and modern rural areas in the period of 2026-2030.

In addition to planting trees at the launching ceremony, the leaders of Lac Duong commune requested that agencies and units in the commune organize for cadres, civil servants and public employees to plant trees, flowers and ornamental plants in the premises of their agencies and units from autonomous or socialized sources.

Villages in the commune coordinate with departments and branches to propagate and mobilize people to plant trees, flowers, and ornamental plants, creating a green, clean, and beautiful village landscape.

Lac Duong commune has a total natural area of over ^828km2 ; of which, forest land accounts for 86.4%. Implementing the plan to plant 50 million trees in Lam Dong province (old) in the period of 2021 - 2025 and the plan to plant 3.9 million trees in Lac Duong district (old), as of December 30, 2024, Lac Duong commune has organized the planting of over 1.2 million trees, reaching a rate of 121.06%.

Planting trees contributes to greening forests and restoring the ecological environment.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the forces and people of Lac Duong commune planted 3,400 three-leaf pine trees in lot B, compartment 3, Sub-area 97, contributing to greening the forest and restoring the ecological environment.
