The Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association held the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition " Photographer Minh Loc - Photographic historian" on the morning of August 14, at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association.

The exhibition displays 99 representative photos among thousands of photos taken by photographer Minh Loc. These are images that capture historical moments, fighting spirit and life of the army and people across the country during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

The exhibition includes many images of the reunification day. Photographer Minh Loc was present at the rally, parade, and victory parade at the Independence Palace (now the Reunification Hall) on May 15, 1975 with more than 55,000 people attending.

He took a series of photos capturing images of Party and State leaders, artists and people celebrating the country's reunification.

The typical photo is the moment when Southern artists attended the ceremony, kept by artist Kim Cuong. Mr. Doan Hoai Trung - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association - said that this photo collection was used in the photo book Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of proud heroic epic.

This exhibition is also a tribute to photographer Minh Loc, who has held a camera for more than 70 years with precious and valuable images.

Talking about choosing 99 photos for the exhibition, Mr. Doan Hoai Trung explained that this number represents longevity, and is a wish for his health and hope that he will continue to create photos and beautify life.
