Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong said that the exhibition, which will take place until September 20, is a special art event aimed at building a "national brand" for Vietnamese photography; promoting beautiful images of the country and people of Vietnam; enhancing international exchanges and cooperation through photography activities; collecting and enriching the photo collection for Hue, serving the promotion of Hue culture and tourism and enriching the activities of the National Tourism Year in Hue in 2025.

The organizing committee received 6,076 works from 415 authors from 16 countries around the world , sent to participate in the exhibition. The Art Council established by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected 200 photographic works from 133 authors at home and abroad to display at the exhibition. The works were introduced through two themes: "Vietnam through the lens of international photography" and "Hue - Ancient capital, new opportunities".
These are beautiful photos of Vietnam's land and people, bringing deep feelings about life, culture, nature, people and country of Vietnam; thereby, contributing to promoting, propagating, introducing and developing Vietnam tourism and Hue city - the host locality of the National Tourism Year to domestic and international friends.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the 20 best works. Notable works include author Le Dinh Hoang with the work "Huong River Festival at Dien Hue Nam", author Le Tuan Anh with the work "Attraction of Phu Quoc", author Gunaratne Madugodaralalage Thejapriya Bandu (Sri Lanka) with the work "Releasing lanterns at sunset" or the work "Sunset in Hoi An" by author Robert (Indonesia)...
From May 23-29, 2025, the Photo Exchange and Creation Program took place in Hue City, gathering 30 Vietnamese and international photographers, including 5 international photographers (India, Laos, Japan and Singapore). Thereby, the photographers took thousands of beautiful photos of the landscape, life, people, culture and art of Hue City and the Hue Monuments Complex. Many photos were selected for exhibition and awards at the 3rd Photo Exhibition "Vietnam through the lens of international photographers".
The Vietnam International Photography Festival is an international photography event, held every two years to promote the beautiful image of Vietnam and its people, while building a brand for domestic photography and enhancing international exchange through photography activities.
