Foreign players of Ninh Binh Club are supported to apply for Vietnamese citizenship

Joining Ninh Binh Club, Janclesio Almeida Santos was committed to receiving support from the team in the procedures to apply for Vietnamese citizenship.

On the evening of July 21, Ninh Binh Club announced that it had completed negotiations and reached a 3-year contract agreement with Brazilian midfielder Janclesio Almeida Santos. Janclesio will play for the V-League rookie team from the 2025-2026 season.

One of the important terms in the contract is that Ninh Binh Club commits to supporting the procedure to obtain Vietnamese citizenship for Janclesio, opening up the opportunity to contribute long-term to the national team if given the chance. This is the decisive factor for Janclesio to join Ninh Binh.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , Ninh Binh Club wants Janclesio to become a Vietnamese citizen in the 2025-2026 season to register him to play as a naturalized player. The ancient capital team currently has 4 foreign players and will recruit 1 more foreign player in the near future to maximize the foreign player resource, thereby increasing competitiveness in the V-League.

Janclesio was born in 1993, 1m96 tall. This central defender has played 7 years in V-League since the first season in 2019 for Viettel (now The Cong - Viettel). Therefore, he meets the necessary conditions to apply for Vietnamese nationality.

"I always consider Vietnam my second home. I am grateful for everything Vietnamese football has brought me and wish to contribute more to Ninh Binh as well as national football, if given the opportunity," Janclesio shared.

Janclesio is one of the foreign players with good expertise in V-League, has affirmed his ability and is recognized by the clubs The Cong - Viettel, Da Nang, Ha Tinh and Binh Duong . He was even trusted by Ha Tinh to be the captain, leading the defense throughout the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Not only possessing good defensive ability, Janclesio also knows how to "do the striker's job", contributing 13 goals and 6 assists for the V-League clubs he has participated in since the 2019 season.

After Nguyen Xuan Son (Nam Dinh FC), Janclesio and Hendrio da Silva (Hanoi FC) are the next foreign players being supported with the hope of becoming Vietnamese citizens. If they become Vietnamese citizens, Janclesio and Hendrio will have a great chance to be called up to the national team in the context that coach Kim Sang Sik is in great need of quality naturalized players to strengthen the squad.
