As a result, the patient suffered severe bleeding, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and had to be hospitalized at Can Tho General Hospital.

According to Dr. Liem, if patients arbitrarily use drugs without a prescription or guidance from a doctor, it can lead to dangerous situations such as massive bleeding, infection... seriously affecting health, future reproductive function, and even endangering life.

In fact, Can Tho City Obstetrics Hospital has received many cases of serious complications due to unsafe abortions without a doctor's prescription, including many cases where patients bought drugs on their own or performed the procedure at unlicensed private clinics.
