Attending the book launch were Mr. Nguyen Khanh Tung, member of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Can Tho City Party agencies; Mr. Tran Huu Hiep, Vice President of the Mekong Delta Tourism Association; Mr. Vuu Chan Hung, President of the Can Tho City Tourism Association; representatives of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and cities; representatives of schools and many artists and amateur musicians.
The book "Don ca tai tu in the tourist space" and some other works by researcher Nham Hung are on display at Phuong Nam Bookstore Can Tho.
The book “Don ca tai tu in the tourist space” (Literature Publishing House) is nearly 200 pages thick and was painstakingly researched and compiled by researcher Nham Hung over a long period of time, with extensive work and professional experience. Besides an overview of the formation and development of Don ca tai tu, introducing famous singers and musicians, the highlight of the book is to suggest many models and good ways for Don ca tai tu to enter the tourist space.
At the launch, researcher Nham Hung shared his passion for the book, his wishes and proposed many solutions to preserve and develop Don Ca Tai Tu in today's modern context. Tourism experts, artisans, and artists also shared their impressions of the book and their expectations for the development and integration of Don Ca Tai Tu, especially in the tourism sector. Thereby, the delegates hoped that Don Ca Tai Tu would be preserved and developed to its full potential, artisans would be able to make a living from their profession, and this type of heritage would become a typical product of tourism in the Mekong Delta.

Through researcher Nham Hung, researcher Nguyen Tuan Khanh bought and sent 250 copies of the book “Don ca tai tu trong khoi duong va tai tu” to clubs and artisans in the Mekong Delta region. During the book launch, researcher Nham Hung personally handed them to the artisans.

Researcher and playwright Nham Hung was born in 1949, former Deputy Director of Tay Do Theater (Can Tho City). In addition to being a playwright, scriptwriter and general director of many large-scale festival and event programs, he is also the author of many valuable books and research works. These include “Floating Markets in the Mekong Delta”, “Floating Markets in the West”, “Initial Research into Place Names in Can Tho City”, “Learning About Southern Folk Cakes”, “Turban Culture”… and many books in the “local history” genre about localities of Can Tho City and Hau Giang Province before the merger.
