In recent years, the quality of comprehensive education in Lao Cai province has been continuously improved, demonstrated through strong investment in modern and synchronous facilities and teaching equipment.

Schools in Lao Cai province have been invested in and built to be spacious and modern, contributing to raising the rate of schools meeting national standards from 58.9% (in 2020) to 75.6% (in 2025).

Notably, the rate of schools at all levels meeting national standards in the province has increased sharply from 58.9% (in 2020) to 75.6% (in 2025), reflecting the continuous efforts in planning, construction and improving the educational environment. At the same time, the rate of solid classrooms reached 86% of the total number of classrooms, contributing to ensuring safe and effective teaching and learning conditions.

For mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas, the province pays special attention to investing in accommodation systems for boarding and semi-boarding students, reaching a rate of 45.67%, contributing to creating favorable conditions for students to study with peace of mind and limiting dropout.

Aiming for sustainable development, Lao Cai province strives to have 85% of schools at all levels meeting national standards by 2030. This is an important target to improve people's knowledge, human resource quality and build a comprehensive, equitable and modern education system.
