The final qualifying round for the 2024 Paris Olympics in shooting will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from April 11 to 20. This is an opportunity for shooters to win tickets to France to participate in the Olympics next July.
In the qualifying round of the men's 10m air pistol, shooter Pham Quang Huy scored 576 points and ranked 21st, so he did not make it to the finals, thereby losing the chance to compete for a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Pham Quang Huy's two teammates, Phan Cong Minh, ranked 9th with 581 points and Lai Cong Minh ranked 47th with 571 points. All three Vietnamese shooters could not make it into the top 8 athletes to qualify for the finals to compete for tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Previously, Pham Quang Huy won a gold medal in the men's 10m air pistol event at the 19th Asian Games. However, the Asian Games are not an Olympic qualifying event, so Pham Quang Huy had to participate in international tournaments to find a ticket to Paris and was unsuccessful.
