Nearly 50 embassies and international organizations attend the "World Cultural Festival in Hanoi"

VOV.VN - On the afternoon of September 26, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Hanoi People's Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold a press conference to provide information about the first "World Cultural Festival in Hanoi".

Attending the press conference were Ambassadors, representatives of embassies, international organizations, foreign cultural centers in Vietnam, leaders of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi People's Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

Speaking at the Press Conference, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said: "The first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi" is an important initiative to honor and promote the pivotal role of culture in sustainable development, a bridge connecting countries and peoples to overcome all difficulties and challenges of the times such as conflicts, epidemics, climate change, etc., joining hands to bring the international community to peace and prosperity."

Press conference to provide information about the first " World Cultural Festival in Hanoi" program

As of September 25, 2025, 48 embassies, international organizations, and foreign cultural centers in Vietnam have registered to participate in the first "World Cultural Festival in Hanoi", including 45 national cultural spaces, 33 food stalls, 16 international art troupes from within and outside the country, 12 units participating in book introductions, 20 countries sending films to participate in the film screening program...

At the press conference, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Phuong Hoa provided information about the first "World Cultural Festival in Hanoi" program.

Accordingly, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed Decision No. 3298/QD-BVHTTDL dated September 12, 2025 approving the Organization Project and Decision No. 3313/QD-BVHTTDL dated September 16, 2025 promulgating the Program Organization Plan.

The first "World Cultural Festival in Hanoi" program will be held from October 10-12, 2025 at the Central Relic Site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center). The opening ceremony will be held on October 3, 2025, the closing ceremony will be held on October 5, 2025 and events within the framework of the Program, including: Hanoi World Cultural Festival, Hanoi international culinary program, film screening program, Hanoi international folk dance program, Hanoi international fine arts program, Hanoi International Costume Program/Ao Dai Festival, Hanoi International Book Festival and related supporting activities.

At the press conference, Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information Pham Anh Tuan announced the official website of the first "World Culture Festival in Hanoi" program at: https://Worldculturefestival.vn .

With the motto "culture is the foundation - art is the means", the program "World Cultural Festival in Hanoi", after being held for the first time in 2025, will aim to become an annual international cultural diplomatic event in Hanoi in the near future, contributing to connecting countries and ethnic groups, promoting people-to-people exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and the international community, affirming the important role and contribution of culture in the process of implementing the United Nations' sustainable development goals, ensuring peace and prosperity in the region and the world.
