Many patriotic songs are available for adults, but what is there for children?

There are many recent musical compositions promoting patriotism and national pride for adults, typically 'Continue the story of peace', but children are lacking songs that nurture love for the homeland and gratitude?

This is the confession of Tram Tran - who, together with musician Duong Truong Giang, just wrote the song "Vut bay len Viet Nam", produced a MV of the same name, and released to the audience on the evening of August 10.

MV "Fly Up Vietnam" is a collaborative project between Duong Truong Giang, Tram Tran and Be Singer Art Center to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The story in the MV Soaring Vietnam is a journey connecting the past, present and future, through the pure and innocent perspective of children. The audience will see the story of their country from a resilient past, to a grateful present, towards a bright future.

What songs do children have today to nurture patriotism?

At the MV launch on the afternoon of August 10, Tram Tran (owner of the children's music YouTube channel Chun Chin) shared the thoughts that inspired her and musician Duong Truong Giang to compose this song for children.

According to her, music is a very good means to nurture the souls of children. Her 9X generation grew up with very good children's songs such as I am a little rose, I am the sprout of the Party, I walk in the golden sea ...

When she has children, she wonders what songs her children's generation will listen to and sing now that Western culture and K-pop are flooding into Vietnam?

What unique traditions and characteristics of Vietnam remain for children to grow up with?

What songs nurture children's souls, nurture patriotism, pride and gratitude towards their ancestors?

"In my generation, everyone probably has at least one grandparent, uncle or aunt who served in the army, went to war or was a martyr. Me too. I always feel grateful for the great sacrifices of our ancestors so that today we can live in a peaceful and independent Vietnam.

The war has been over for more than 50 years, and today's generation of young people seems to feel less pain from war than their parents did.

So I wrote the song "Soaring Up Vietnam" for my children, hoping that they will always be grateful, remember the contributions of previous generations, follow their ancestors, stand up to build and protect the country with even greater dreams," Tram Tran confided.

Ms. Dinh Lan Huong - lecturer at Hanoi College of Arts, project manager of the MV "Soaring Vietnam" , said the MV is not simply a musical product, but more than that, children are educated about gratitude, patriotism and national pride, helping them understand more about historical traditions.

The image of the Vietnam Military History Museum occupies the entire MV

Soaring Up Vietnam is a pop song but performed with a symphony orchestra, creating a majestic and powerful feeling. The MV gathered nearly 50 children to participate in the performance and filming.

The Vietnam Military History Museum is the only setting for the MV. The majestic architecture and storytelling artifacts at this museum further help to instill pride in the country's glorious history in young audiences.

In addition to the children, the MV also "coincidentally" features two veterans, who were visitors to the Vietnam Military History Museum while the crew was filming the MV.
