Many models bear the mark of women of A Sao commune

Women of Lam Cau 1 village (A Sao commune) carry out a model of collecting scrap to raise charity funds.

Some sections of road in Long Khe 5 village, about 4m wide, will be widened to 7m. Although "every inch of land is gold", in agreement with the road construction policy, many women's union members' families have voluntarily donated land, dismantled fences and auxiliary structures to widen the road. Ms. Do Thi Luong, Long Khe 5 village, shared: Wherever the road is widened, my family agrees to donate land and assets on the land. Because the road is public, spacious, clean and beautiful, everyone benefits. Children go to school, people go to work, vehicles go back and forth more conveniently, I also feel happy. The sense of responsibility and consensus of women's union members like Ms. Luong has spread throughout the community, becoming the driving force for the new rural construction movement in A Sao commune to take place vigorously. The whole commune has over 1,680 households that have voluntarily donated more than 97,000 ^m2 of land. The total value from donating land and assets on the land is over 165 billion VND.

In A Sao commune, many models bear the mark of women, typically "Collecting scrap to build a charity fund" at 18 branches. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Thuy, Secretary of Lam Cau 1 village Party Cell, said: At first, many people thought that collecting scrap was laborious and had little income, but when they saw that the work both protected the environment and helped the needy, women responded more and more positively. To implement this, the Branch has propagated and mobilized members and people to classify garbage at households, utilize organic waste as fertilizer, collect recycled scrap to raise funds to support poor women and children. Once a quarter, the Branch collects and sells scrap, the most recent time it collected nearly 2 million VND, giving 10 gifts to women in difficult circumstances. In the commune, the spirit of mutual love is widely promoted through many humane models such as "Godmother", "Following children to school", "Charity shelter fund". In the period of 2021 - 2024, the Women's Union of the commune sponsored 6 orphans, supported 8 students to go to school, gave hundreds of gifts to poor women and children, supported members to build and repair houses, visited families with meritorious services, new soldiers, war invalids, sick soldiers... These activities not only demonstrate the spirit of charity but also affirm the role of the Union in caring for the lives of members, building solidarity in the community. Not only doing well in social security work, women of A Sao commune also actively participate in economic development and legitimate enrichment. More than 3,000 female workers are working at companies and factories inside and outside the commune; hundreds of service and handicraft businesses owned by women bring in a stable source of income, contributing to raising the average income per capita of the whole commune to 75 million VND/year. The Association has coordinated with the Social Policy Bank and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to create favorable conditions for more than 400 households to borrow preferential loans, helping many poor and near-poor women's families escape poverty sustainably.

A Sao Commune Women's Union and Long Khe 5 village Party Committee and government propagated the work of land clearance to expand traffic routes at the families of women union members.

Building a new countryside is not only about investing in infrastructure and increasing income, but also about improving spiritual life. Culture, arts, and sports become familiar spiritual food, contributing to community cohesion. The Women's Union of A Sao commune encourages each member to choose a suitable form of exercise; launching a movement to wear traditional ao dai in response to the annual "Ao dai Week", spreading the beauty of Vietnamese culture. Along with that, friendly women's football matches between teams inside and outside the commune create a joyful and united atmosphere, contributing to improving the spiritual life of female members. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, Chairwoman of the Commune Women's Union: Women are not only beneficiaries of the results, but also active participants in creating and creating a civilized and livable new countryside. From that spirit, many good models and creative ways have been effectively implemented, bringing a new look to A Sao homeland today.
