According to Nikkei, based on Famitsu's latest weekly sales chart in Japan, Nintendo Switch sold more than 380,000 units in the country during June. This is not only a 68% increase from the number sold in June 2022, but also the highest number of units ever sold in the month of June in the Japanese market.

The Switch's lifetime sales in Japan now stand at just under 29.8 million, and June's impressive sales should see the console on track to hit the 30 million mark in the coming weeks.

To date, the Switch remains the third best-selling gaming platform in Japan, behind the Nintendo DS in first place with over 32.9 million units sold, as well as the Game Boy and Game Boy Color in second place with lifetime sales of over 32.4 million units.
