Vinh Long Party Secretary appointed as Dong Thap Party Secretary

The Politburo has just issued a decision to appoint Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong, Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On October 1, the 1st Congress of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly held.

Attending the congress were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of central departments, ministries and branches, and 450 delegates representing more than 120,000 party members of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee.

At the congress, the Organizing Committee announced the Politburo 's decisions on appointing members to the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, there are a total of 53 members of the Executive Committee and 16 members of the Standing Committee.

As appointed by the Politburo, Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong, Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, holds the position of Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; along with 4 Deputy Secretaries: Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram; Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong; Mr. Tran Tri Quang; Mr. Phan Van Thang.

Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong was born in 1967, hometown Nguyet Hoa commune, Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh (now Nguyet Hoa ward, Vinh Long province). Professional qualifications: Bachelor of political economics, Bachelor of administration.

Mr. Cuong has held the positions of Head of the Personnel Organization Department, Organization Board of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, Head of the Organization Board of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee; Secretary of the Tra Vinh City Party Committee; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term; Secretary of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On June 30, 2025, Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong received the decision to hold the position of Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee.
