End of year production efforts

Production continues to grow

The last months of the year are always the peak time for many manufacturing industries to serve export and domestic consumption. Production during this period often records stronger order growth than in previous months.

Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company (Phu Cuong Industrial Park) is striving to complete orders for the fourth quarter of 2025 and is continuously recruiting sewing workers to fulfill signed contracts. With stable production and abundant orders, the company has launched competitions to help workers increase productivity and product quality. The entire company strives to complete the plan to achieve revenue of 16.5 million USD this year.

With May Pacific Joint Stock Company (Dau Giay Industrial Park), orders have grown steadily, and the company has planned to produce until early next year. The company is in need of attracting hundreds more workers to expand production and serve exports to Japan. To attract workers, the company has had preferential policies, especially productivity bonuses... to make workers feel secure and work hard.

Similarly, despite many pressures, the wood and furniture industry still achieved 12.5 billion USD in exports in the first 9 months of 2025, up 6.5% over the same period. This result shows the significant efforts of enterprises in maintaining growth amidst numerous barriers. Enterprises in the industry have proactively and flexibly adapted to the increasing demands of the market, especially the trend of consuming "green" products; at the same time, focusing on improving production capacity, improving designs and expanding and diversifying export markets.

Mr. Tran Duc Anh, Director of Happyco Joint Stock Company (Long Binh Ward, Dong Nai Province) commented that there are still many opportunities for the wood production industry. Recently, many foreign partners have come to contact the company to explore cooperation opportunities. Happyco is also gradually improving its productivity, quality and capacity to meet increasingly high market standards.

According to a survey by Dong Nai Statistics, production is expected to be more positive in the fourth quarter of 2025. Up to 34.2% of processing and manufacturing enterprises forecast that production and business will increase, while only 12.8% of enterprises assessed that production and business decreased compared to the previous quarter.

Be proactive in the face of change

According to economic expert, Dr. Can Van Luc, Institute of Training and Research of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ), the picture of Vietnam's economy in the first 9 months of 2025 recorded many bright spots: GDP growth of 7.85%, the highest compared to the same period in the past 14 years; the macro economy is basically stable, major balances are guaranteed. This year, with the growth developments in the past 9 months, the forecast for the whole year's economy can reach a GDP growth rate of 8.2% or better.

To maintain high growth, Mr. Luc recommended accelerating substantial improvements in the investment and business environment; proactively and flexibly adapting to the US tariff policy; supporting enterprises to diversify markets and partners, better exploiting free trade agreements (FTAs); connecting domestic enterprises with foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) to exploit cooperation potential... At the same time, effectively implementing policies to stimulate consumption; renewing traditional growth drivers and strongly promoting new growth drivers.

For the business community, production in many units is growing, however, the international market is still volatile. Trade and geopolitical developments, especially the increasingly unpredictable moves in trade protection, import tax, anti-dumping... of major countries are causing many concerns. That can lead to pressure on costs, production prices, disruption of the supply chain of raw materials, accessories... Enterprises must be proactive in responding to unpredictable developments that may occur.
