The 2024 Hanoi Voice Contest returns to continue searching for and honoring talented young singers of the capital with the theme Hanoi - A pink heart.

The contest attracted the participation of 400 contestants from 16 to 35 years old, currently living, working and studying in Hanoi and a number of contestants who have won high prizes in vocal competitions of several provinces and centrally run cities.

The organizers responded at the press conference of The Voice Hanoi 2024.

The competition consists of three main rounds: Preliminary round, Semi-final round and Final round. The Preliminary round will be from November 12 to 16 at Hanoi Drama Theater (Worker Theater). In this round, contestants will sing the registered song without any accompaniment, thereby clearly expressing their voice, style and musical personality in the most authentic way.

The Organizing Committee will select the 60 best contestants to continue competing in the Semi-finals, where they will be supported by a professional orchestra. The Semi-finals will take place from November 19 to 21 at the Hanoi Drama Theater.

The Final Round will be a shining night for the 12 most outstanding singers, where they perform in front of the Jury and the audience with songs about Hanoi and a song of their own choice. The Final Night is expected to take place in December 2024 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace and will be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television.

The competition's jury will include many famous artists: Musician Duc Trinh, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Tan Minh, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, music researcher Nguyen Quang Long, musician Kien Nguyen and singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan.

Regarding the award structure, the program will award First, Second, and Third prizes for three main music genres: Chamber Music, Folk Music, and Light Music, along with secondary prizes such as: The Best Contestant Singing About Hanoi Award and The Most Popular Contestant Award

Established in 1997, held every two years, the Hanoi Voice Contest has become a prestigious cultural and artistic activity. Over the years, the contest has not only sought out excellent singers, but has also been a cradle to nurture and develop great talents for the Vietnamese music industry.

From this competition, many leading artists such as: People's Artist Tan Minh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Diva Hong Nhung, My Linh, Tung Duong... gradually asserted themselves, becoming excellent singers of the music industry.
