“For the development of Ho Chi Minh City's music industry, musician The Hien has made many great contributions. He is always dedicated, wholehearted, creating meaningful works that attract the public in the creative campaigns launched by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, and the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association.
He never hesitated or refused to take trips to serve in remote and difficult areas. The city's literary and artistic achievements today have his accompaniment and effective contributions.
Looking at him for the last time, I felt very emotional. Rest in peace, The Hien! Friends, colleagues and audiences will never forget the image of the artist - soldier whose heart and mind were always devoted to the noble values of art and the country" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, shared with Tuoi Tre Online .

The miracle did not happen again.
Singer Lai Thi Lan Anh said she and her mother have been taking care of musician The Hien for over a year now, ever since he fell ill. The day before he was admitted to the hospital, musician The Hien was still conscious and wanted to drink milk and eat rice.
“In the last two months before he passed away, my father's health was deteriorating and he was in pain, but I felt he was very resilient. He did not complain to his children, but only grimaced and endured.
I saw the resilience in my father's eyes even though he knew he had terminal cancer that had metastasized.
The disease causes weak eyesight and limbs, making it impossible to hold a pen and write, but he still enjoys watching TV and listening to music.
When I was taken to the emergency room, my father held my hand tightly, wanting to say many things but unable to express them. My father's health gradually weakened, he opened his eyes occasionally but the miracle did not happen again like the previous emergency room" - Ms. Lan Anh confided.
Musician Thế Hiển’s wish was to organize a commemorative concert. But his health at that time was such that he was bedridden and did not want to post a bad image online, so the musician decided not to organize it.
