On the morning of September 7, 2025, at Hoan Kiem Theater, Vietnam Television (VTV) held a ceremony to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the first television program broadcast and receive the First Class Labor Medal.
On September 7, 1970, the first television signals in Vietnam were broadcast, marking the birth of a new revolutionary media. This was the proud answer to Uncle Ho's question from 1968: "When will our people be able to watch television?"
The commemorative program recreated the typical scenes that were associated with the memories of millions of viewers. From the theme song of Feature Films, Sunday Arts, News of the 90s , to famous game shows such as Magic Hat, Road to Olympia, Who is a Millionaire or 24h Movement, Sports , Weather, 7pm News.
The art program gathered artists who have grown up along VTV's development journey. People's Artist Thanh Lam and singer Hong Nhung performed the medley Remembering Hanoi , Milk Flower, Remembering Hanoi's Autumn in traditional Ao Dai.

People's Artist Tan Minh brought the song "Em oi, Ha Noi pho" by musician Phu Quang. Ho Quynh Huong performed a medley of film music including "Muong uoc ky niem xua", "Loi ru cho con", "Nhung ban chan lang le" - works associated with famous TV series.

In particular, rapper Den Vau brought the performance Cooking for Children with a message of love for children, reflecting the spirit of VTV's charity programs. Singer Tung Duong closed the music night with the song Khat Vong by musician Pham Minh Tuan.

On her personal Facebook page, singer Hong Nhung shared emotional behind-the-scenes photos with the status: "Congratulations to VTV, with the First Class Labor Medal - celebrating the first broadcast date on this day, September 7, 55 years ago."
Singer Tung Duong also expressed his honor: "Early in the morning, I was able to sing to celebrate the meaningful milestone of 55 years of Vietnam Television in a solemn space."
MCs Hoai Anh and Huu Bang took on the role of program hosts, representing about 3,500 VTV staff, affirming: After 55 years of formation and development, VTV has continuously innovated, affirming the role, prestige and position of the national multimedia communications agency.
