(NLDO) - Meritorious Artist Ngoc Khanh was moved to send her thanks to "Mai Vang Nhan Ai", expressing her pride when Phuong My Chi's song "He" spread to international friends.

Participating in the program "Art exchange to launch the 31st Mai Vang Award - 2025" at the Hall of the Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of September 24, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Khanh was moved to express his gratitude for the "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" program and the Lao Dong Newspaper's care and sharing during difficult times.

She said the affection that the program gives not only has material value but is also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping artists have more confidence to continue to stick with the profession.

In response to that kindness, I introduced many opera artists who are facing difficulties, living in remote provinces but still devoted to their profession to the program. Thanks to that, many colleagues have received timely support, giving them more motivation to not give up the stage. We will never forget those deep feelings of gratitude" - Meritorious Artist Ngoc Khanh shared.

The female artist also shared her passion for the art of hát bội. She believes that this traditional art form is increasingly fading away, with few people pursuing it, so she is willing to devote all her efforts to whatever she can do for hát bội.

The Ngoc Khanh Traditional Opera - Tuong troupe maintained by her still operates regularly during the festivals at the beginning and end of the year, as a way to keep the passion for the profession alive and create opportunities for young artists to learn and practice their craft.

Speaking of young artists, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Khanh proudly mentioned singer Phuong My Chi and the song "He". She said Phuong My Chi and her crew came to her to learn about incorporating Hat Boi and Tuong Co elements into the performance.

"I am also very surprised that young artists are interested in this traditional art form. I am proud that the song "He" with the sound of hát bội is not only loved by Vietnamese audiences but also spread to international friends" - Meritorious Artist Ngoc Khanh expressed.

Meritorious Artist Ngoc Khanh revealed that traditional musical instruments such as the Dan Co (co), Dan Sen (sến), drum, Dong Lo (dong lo), and Sona trumpet were recorded live by musicians from the Ngoc Khanh ancient opera troupe, helping the song to have the most authentic cultural nuances.

"Clown" is not only a competition performance, but also a testament to the ability to revive and spread traditional art when it is received by young people with a creative spirit and respect for heritage.
