Female accountant of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province was detained for 9 days for investigation.

On the afternoon of May 16, a private source of VietNamNet reporter said that Gia Lai Provincial Police had just issued a decision to temporarily detain Ms. Do Thi Thu Hien (45 years old, accountant of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai Province) when she came to the police station to present herself after many days of being missing.

According to this decision, Ms. Hien was detained for 9 days for investigation because of signs of "fraudulent appropriation of property".

Previously, Gia Lai Provincial Police also received a complaint from Ms. NTKT (Yen Do Ward, Pleiku City) about being scammed by Ms. Hien for 750 million VND. Therefore, the Provincial Police issued a decision to search for Ms. Hien to clarify this complaint.

On April 19, after arriving at work, Ms. Hien suddenly lost contact. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province went to Ms. Hien's house to look for her but could not find her.

Afterwards, this unit requested the provincial police to verify and clarify the fact that Ms. Hien made documents to withdraw billions of dong from the unit's funds.

The case is currently being investigated by Gia Lai Provincial Police.
