Four missing people in the serious landslide in Lung Cu (Tuyen Quang) have not been found yet.

Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 10 causing prolonged heavy rain, on the morning of September 30, in Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune ( Tuyen Quang ), a particularly serious landslide occurred. The house of Mr. Vang Cha So (born in 1982) was completely swept away, leaving 4 family members missing, including: Mr. Vang Cha So, his wife, Ms. Hau Thi Dinh (born in 1980), daughter Vang Xuan Hoa (2003) and young grandson Vang Minh Hai (2024).

It is known that Mr. Vang Cha So's family has 7 people, at the time of the incident, 3 people were not at home. Immediately after the incident, Lung Cu commune authorities mobilized police, military , border guards, militia and local people to urgently deploy search work. The landslide area is located at the foot of a steep mountain, after many days of heavy rain, rocks and soil suddenly collapsed, flattening the entire house. Rescue forces had to use excavators and shovels to search through the meter-thick rock and soil, while the rain continued to last.

Mr. Tran Duc Chung, Chairman of Lung Cu Commune People's Committee said: "Currently, the area is still experiencing heavy rain, the search work is facing many difficulties due to the large volume of landslides. We are mobilizing maximum human resources and means, taking advantage of every hour and minute to search for the missing victims. In the coming time, the commune will continue to closely coordinate with functional forces, determined to find and bring the victims out as soon as possible to ease the pain of the families."

In addition to the above incident, heavy rain also caused heavy damage: 6 houses and barns of households were swept away by water, but fortunately people were able to evacuate to safety in time. About 1 hectare of rice in Ma Lung A and B was flooded and completely damaged; a cow barn was destroyed. Traffic on many routes was blocked due to landslides; including national highway sections through San Tro, Ma Le, Ma Lung B villages and the commune center road.

Faced with the complicated rain situation, the People's Committee of Lung Cu commune continues to deploy the "4 on-site" plan, strengthen inspection and warning of dangerous areas, and resolutely not allow people and vehicles to pass through landslide sites, to ensure the safety of people's lives and property...
