At the opening ceremony, host country Thailand gave an overview of the largest regional sporting event that will take place in four provinces and cities of the country at the end of this year and early next year.
Specifically, the 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 9-20 in Bangkok and the two provinces of Chonburi and Songkhla, with the participation of sports delegations from 11 member countries of the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF), including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam. The host country's organizing committee also introduced the official logo, mascot and symbol representing each sport competing at these two congresses.
The official logo of the 33rd SEA Games combines the precision of sports with the elegance of Thai cultural design.
Inspired by the theme of “Play by the Rules,” the logo combines geometric lines that mimic court markings with graceful curves reminiscent of traditional Thai architecture.
The upward-pointing torch shape represents energy, discipline, and the fire of competition, while also symbolizing the respect and creativity that arises within structured boundaries.
The use of red, yellow and dark blue represents the vitality, national pride and diversity of the participating nations.
Meanwhile, the official logo of the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Thailand 2025 represents the power of sports, the spirit of integration and Thai cultural arts.
Inspired by the theme of “Inspiration and Equality,” the logo’s bold geometric lines reflect determination and discipline, while the graceful curves of Thailand and the upward-pointing flame silhouette represent resilience, courage and unity. The vibrant color palette of red, yellow and blue represents the vitality, national pride and shared diversity of the ASEAN Para Games.
The mascots of the two games, called “The Sans,” are seven lively characters in seven different colors that represent the warmth, energy and hospitality of Thailand.
Their designs reflect a blend of Thai cultural motifs and modern cartoon styles, while their colorful appearance reflects the vibrancy of the SEA Games and the diversity of participating countries.
