Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On the morning of October 17, Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

At the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, presented the Politburo's decision on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - former Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee - to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong was born on December 29, 1970, hometown in Phong Thai ward, Hue city.

Mr. Phuong has a master's degree in economics; construction engineer; bachelor's degree in mathematics.

Before being appointed as Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Phuong served as Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue Province. He was then elected as Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Thua Thien Hue Province.

In 2021, he was elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, now Hue city.

In early October, Mr. Phuong was elected by the Hue City Party Executive Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee.

Previously, on October 16, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, former Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
