At the same time, they started to build a clean water project to serve the daily life of hundreds of households in Huoi To 2 and Na Hy villages; built a bridge across the stream to Cha Lo village to help the local community travel conveniently, promote the exchange and trade of goods; and started to build the library of Nhon Mai Ethnic Boarding School.
According to Mr. Mac Van Nguyen, the above projects were implemented with the joint contributions and support from units, organizations, armed forces and philanthropists inside and outside the province; thereby demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and responsibility for the flood-affected community; creating conditions for people in difficult border areas to soon stabilize their lives. At the same time, it continues to affirm the determination of the Party Committee, government and people in the area to join hands to overcome difficulties, restore production and economy after natural disasters, and build a more prosperous and prosperous homeland and village.
According to Mr. Mac Van Nguyen, the local Party Committee and authorities will soon start to build houses for 34 households that suffered heavy losses in the flash floods that occurred at the end of July, so that people can soon stabilize their lives. Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 3 that occurred at the end of July, many mountainous areas in the West of Nghe An were severely damaged. In particular, flash floods and landslides occurred widely in communes in the Nam Non, Nam Mo and Lam river basins... in which, Nhon Mai commune had more than 70 houses buried and completely swept away, 37 houses were severely damaged and had to be dismantled and nearly 300 houses were at risk of landslides and would have to be relocated. Nearly 80% of people's rice fields and fish ponds were completely swept away by floods.
Along with that, National Highway 16 running through the area connecting Tri Le commune (National Highway 48) to Muong Xen commune (National Highway 7) suffered serious landslides, causing separation and isolation of the commune.
