The tense situation happened right after the final whistle. Realizing that center back Filho Jairo was about to rush in to react with his teammate, goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang immediately appeared to stop the hot-headed HAGL captain. Players from both sides lost their composure and reacted strongly to each other. Captain Tien Linh also had to appear to talk privately with HAGL's foreign player. The referee team worked at full capacity to avoid bad situations from happening after the match ended.
HAGL's coaching staff arrived in time to calm the players' hot heads after the 0-1 defeat. Returning to the match, CA TPHCM proactively increased the pressure on the away team's field. In the first 15 minutes, the home team created many opportunities, but it seemed that the impatience caused the shots of coach Le Huynh Duc's players to not be really accurate. In the 42nd minute, Raphael passed the ball to Quoc Cuong, who then passed it back to foreign player Endrick to face him and shoot into the empty net, opening the score 1-0 for CA TP.HCM. Conceding a goal, HAGL was forced to push the game throughout the second half to overwhelm the home team, but coach Le Huynh Duc's players did not allow them to carry out that intention.
HAGL's crowded defense also limited the attacks of HCMC Police, aiming to relieve the siege on goalkeeper Trung Kien's goal. Playing hard in the second half, but the away team from the mountain town almost did not have any notable counter-attacks towards goalkeeper Le Giang's goal. Coach Le Huynh Duc was satisfied with his players' performance when they had to play in heavy rain.
Winning the final match with a narrow score of 1-0, the home team CA TPHCM temporarily rose to 6th place with 6 points, while HAGL is in 13th place with 1 point. With this victory, coach Le Huynh Duc and his team once again helped Thong Nhat Stadium celebrate.
