Strive to complete registration for "3 no" fishing vessels before December 31

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Tri, after coordinating with localities to organize inspections and reviews of all fishing vessels in the province, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has compiled and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee to issue 2 decisions to announce the list of "3 no" fishing vessels (no registration, no inspection and no fishing license). Accordingly, the number of fishing vessels eligible for registration is 368.

To speed up the progress of inspection, registration and licensing of fishing vessels for "3 no" fishing vessels whose names are on the list announced by the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has directed the Fisheries Sub-Department to arrange staff directly to the localities to coordinate with local authorities to organize propaganda and provide direct guidance to ship owners on procedures, registration documents, inspection, issuance of fishing licenses, and marking of fishing vessels. People's Committees of coastal communes and towns arrange staff to support ship owners in carrying out registration documents, granting fishing licenses, and procedures for declaring registration tax...

As a result, as of November 30, 320/368 fishing vessels have been granted registration certificates and fishing licenses according to regulations, reaching a rate of 86.96%. All fishing vessels that have been granted registration and fishing licenses have been updated to the VNFishbase system.

For the remaining 48 "3 no" fishing vessels, the Department of Fisheries is currently continuing to coordinate with localities to guide ship owners in carrying out registration procedures, inspection, granting fishing licenses, marking fishing vessels, installing voyage monitoring equipment, and striving to complete the registration of "3 no" fishing vessels before December 31, 2024.
