QTO - On October 12, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Que, Head of Kim Ngan Forest Protection Department, said that the unit had just received two rare brown-throated birds from local people and handed them over to the Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of Organisms of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (PN-KB National Park) for rescue and care.

The person who handed over the two rare brown-throated birds was Mr. Ho Vali, from Ha Lec village, Kim Ngan commune. According to the report, the two brown-throated birds flew into Mr. Li's house when they were young. After discovering that this was a rare bird species that needed to be strictly protected, he proactively reported it to the authorities and handed it over. Immediately upon receiving the report, Kim Ngan Forest Protection Department inspected and determined that these were two rare brown-throated birds (group IB).

At the time of reception, these two brown-throated birds were in normal health condition. Kim Ngan Forest Protection Department contacted and handed them over to the Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of PN-KB National Park for care, rescue and release back to the natural environment as soon as possible.
