The results of a survey on consumer payment attitudes recently announced by electronic payment technology company Visa show that the trend of switching to modern electronic payment methods is becoming increasingly popular in Vietnam.
Accordingly, 56% of Vietnamese users participating in the survey have reduced their cash usage compared to the previous year and actively embraced new financial technologies. In particular, Gen X consumers (those born between 1965 and 1980) and Gen Y (those born between 1981 and 1996) are now playing a pioneering role in driving the growth of cashless payments, with 89% of survey participants saying they have successfully accessed digital payment methods in their daily lives.
Vietnam is considered one of the leading countries in the wave of cashless payment conversion in Southeast Asia. A report by the electronic payment technology company Visa shows that at least 4 out of 5 Vietnamese consumers regularly use e-wallets, most of whom are young people.
