Currently in the market, people's demand for shopping for goods and using services has increased compared to before. Services and goods provided at establishments are relatively popular and diverse, meeting consumer needs, especially children's toys, candies, and drinks of all kinds. Mr. Truong Ngoc Phuoc, owner of a grocery store and children's toy store (Thanh Nhat ward) shared: Currently, it is the Mid-Autumn Festival, so in recent days, many people have the need to buy candies, lanterns, and toys for their children. The store has increased the quantity of goods so that people have more choices.

Consumer demand is increasing, there are many goods, but the origin, quality, expiry date, etc. are issues that need attention. Ms. Cao Thi My Phuong, owner of M&P convenience store (Binh Kien ward) said: I sell hundreds of items, but each type depends on the time and season. Beverages, confectionery, and children's toys have a high number of buyers, and the amount of goods sold is also increasing every day. In order for people to buy good quality goods, we carefully examine the origin, labels, production conditions, etc. However, it is also difficult for us to detect fake and counterfeit goods because we do not have the skills and conditions to check the goods are limited.
For consumers, most of them only choose goods, food... based on their senses, but not everyone has the knowledge and skills to recognize good quality - poor quality, real - fake goods. Ms. Nguyen Hong Hoa (Buon Ma Thuot ward) said: Normally when buying goods, I just look, like, and buy when it suits my needs. Children also only choose based on their preferences, designs, and eye-catching colors. Therefore, the issue of product safety and quality needs to be controlled by the relevant authorities.
According to the provincial authorities, in recent times, in addition to establishments and production and business units that ensure regulations on product quality and food safety, there are still many small businesses, seasonal production, non-compliance with regulations, selling fake, counterfeit goods, of unknown origin... to increase profits. Regarding children's toys, many establishments also put on the market toys with funny shapes and many colors but are toys that do not ensure quality, do not have a conformity mark (QR). The establishments also often secretly mix smuggled, expired candies and sweets to put on the market, especially in rural areas, remote areas. Meanwhile, consumers who use candies, toys... that do not ensure quality, contain toxic elements from raw materials, preservatives, colorants... will be at risk of poisoning or long-term effects on health. To protect the legitimate rights of consumers, authorities have stepped up inspection, market control, and food safety checks during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Recently, the People's Committees of Tuy Hoa and Buon Ma Thuot wards have inspected the compliance with business conditions and food safety for establishments producing and trading goods and food services in the area; detected and took measures to handle establishments that do not ensure conditions and violate acts related to the production and trading of goods and services in the area. In addition, the provincial departments and branches have also established 3 interdisciplinary inspection teams to conduct inspections in 9 wards and communes. This work will help the authorities promptly detect, prevent, and handle violations, protecting the rights of the people.

Mr. Vuong Minh Son, Head of the Dak Lak Market Management Department, said: The market management teams under the unit have worked with enterprises, production and business establishments, requesting them not to trade in counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, and to commit to complying with the provisions of the law in the production and trading of goods and services. During the process of market inspection and control, the forces always propagate and remind organizations and individuals engaged in production and business activities to comply with the provisions of the law in business fields, not to take advantage of market developments to speculate, hoard goods or unreasonably increase prices, and to have a plan to provide adequate essential goods, contributing to market stability.
Enterprises, production and business establishments must enhance their responsibility, comply with the provisions of the law on consumer rights protection, and fully implement social responsibilities in the production and trading of goods and services; in order to create transparency and health for the market in accordance with the message "Transparent information - responsible consumption" that the Central and local governments have directed in the work of protecting consumer rights.
According to the representative of the Department of Industry and Trade, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, people's consumption demand increases. In order to promote and raise consumers' awareness in choosing safe and transparent products and services, the unit recommends that people be cautious in choosing and using goods and services, avoid buying poor quality, expired products, and products of unknown origin to protect their health. Along with that, enterprises, production and business establishments should enhance their responsibility, comply with the provisions of the law on protecting consumer rights, and fully implement social responsibilities in the production and trading of goods and services; in order to create transparency and health for the market in accordance with the message "Transparent information - responsible consumption" that the Central and local governments have directed in the work of protecting consumer rights.
