More than 5,000 fake brand shoe soles discovered

On June 13, information from Market Management Team No. 3 under the Market Management Department of Hai Duong province said that this unit had just coordinated with functional forces to inspect and temporarily seize a large quantity of counterfeit shoe soles of a business owner.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 12, Market Management Team No. 3 coordinated with Hoang Dieu Commune Police and Gia Loc District Police (Hai Duong) to conduct a surprise inspection of Duong Van Tiep business household (located at plot number 122, map sheet number 23, Phong Lam village, Hoang Dieu commune, Gia Loc district).

The authorities proceeded to make a record of the counterfeit branded goods of Mr. Tiep's household.

At the scene, the inspection team discovered that Duong Van Tiep business was using a metal mold with a large brand name embossed on it to produce shoe soles bearing this brand name. Counting the number of finished shoe soles, there were 5,268.

Mr. Duong Van Tiep confessed that the fake branded shoe soles were produced for the purpose of selling to shoe manufacturers to make finished shoes. The facility that produced the fake branded shoe soles did not have permission from the brand owner.

The authorities have temporarily detained all evidence for handling according to regulations.
