The workshop took place within the framework of the National Science Project "Development of Arts in Vietnam to 2030, vision to 2045" chaired by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung. The development of art today requires both inheriting traditional values and absorbing contemporary trends, taking advantage of technological power and international integration. At the same time, with Vietnam implementing the Cultural Development Strategy to 2030, research and exchange of international experiences on art development are becoming more practical and urgent.

The issue of shaping the creative ecosystem is hotly discussed.

In his contribution to the conference, Professor, Dr. Dao Manh Hung pointed out the importance of management and education: The 4.0 revolution with its speed and large scale requires cultural and artistic management agencies to research and propose new appropriate mechanisms and policies so that the performing arts and cinema can develop strongly without being left behind. We need to respect intellectual property rights, distinguish between artists' creativity and technology applications, and invest in education and training of technology skills for young artists.

Professor, Dr. Truong Quoc Binh emphasized the industrial and cultural value. According to him, in the context of globalization and digital transformation, art is both a creative product of cultural and spiritual nature and will become an industry, contributing to economic growth, promoting the national image and promoting international exchange. Vietnam needs to take advantage of its traditional art treasures, combined with modern technology, to create internationally competitive contemporary art products.

The presentations and opinions at the workshop also focused on analyzing international experiences from Japan, Korea, China and the UK in integrating digital technology with art. Lessons learned for Vietnam include: Building a national strategy on digital culture and digital art, connecting the arts with technology, media, education and tourism; establishing a specialized agency or fund to support digital art; investing in open cultural data infrastructure; training and improving digital capacity for artists and managers, implementing digital skills programs in art schools.

In addition, it is necessary to perfect the legal framework and protect intellectual property rights, apply blockchain technology, and manage open data to protect copyright; promote Vietnamese cultural identity, combine tradition with innovation in the digital environment to create a difference on the international cultural map.

The workshop affirmed that digital transformation in the arts sector brings opportunities but also challenges in terms of policies, institutions and management capacity. For sustainable development, Vietnam needs to build a synchronous digital arts ecosystem, from investment in technology infrastructure, training creative human resources, copyright protection, to support mechanisms for innovation and cultural startups.

The opinions contributed at the workshop contributed to shaping the direction of Vietnamese art development in the coming time, while also suggesting opportunities for international connection, promoting national cultural identity, and creating conditions for artists to access new technology, improving the creative quality and social value of art.
