Developing green agriculture associated with community tourism

On July 22, 2022, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 882/QD-TTg on the National Action Plan on Green Growth for the period 2021 - 2030. Accordingly, for the tourism sector, there are 2 groups of tasks: "Improving institutions and policies for managing tourism development towards green and sustainable growth" and "Prioritizing the development of tourism types towards green growth".

In fact, agricultural tourism brings many benefits to agricultural production and the lives of people in rural areas. This type of tourism not only contributes to diversifying commercial activities, solving output for agricultural products, but also directly supports job creation and increasing income for farmers. On the other hand, agricultural tourism in many localities is associated with the national target program on New Rural Areas, the program "One Commune One Agricultural Product - OCOP" with the development of diverse products... has contributed to maintaining, developing and promoting rural life, raising awareness of customs and practices as well as preserving traditional farming methods of the locality.

Currently, in Lam Dong, many localities and farmers are promoting the exploitation of diverse tourism resources associated with the unique values of agricultural and rural areas. The system of agricultural and rural tourism products is increasingly rich, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign visitors to visit and explore .

One can mention Thien Nghiep Organic Livestock Cooperative (Ba Tuong Farm) in Mui Ne Ward, Lam Dong Province, which has gradually formed a green agricultural chain, raising regional specialties combined with eco-tourism experiences. With a total production area of 10 hectares, Ba Tuong Farm has focused on raising sand lizards, pigeons, and wild chickens in the direction of green agriculture combined with clean food trade; experiential tourism such as tourists wading upstream of cool stream water, planting vegetables, harvesting mulberries, taking care of livestock, fishing, catching ducks, participating in folk games, camping. In addition, the restaurant system specializes in serving garden dishes, prepared with clean foods with ingredients grown right in the ecological area such as wild chickens, French pigeons, domestic pigs, earthworms, free-range chickens, clean vegetables, coconuts, etc., has attracted many tourists from inside and outside the province. Or like Hoa Le Clean Dragon Fruit Cooperative in Ham Thuan commune, Lam Dong province, which is considered a destination that is not to be missed by tourist groups when going on field trips, experiencing and visiting the typical agricultural production model with dragon fruit produced and processed in a closed system with many diverse products such as: Dragon fruit wine, fermented white/red dragon fruit juice, dragon fruit wine, dragon fruit ice cream, dragon fruit jam, dried dragon fruit flowers...

It can be seen that the green agricultural model associated with community tourism in Lam Dong has contributed to the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas. The development of agriculture associated with community tourism not only has the meaning of creating different tourism products, but also contributes to maintaining, preserving and preserving the traditional cultural values, unique to each locality.
