Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Lam Thi Huong Thanh presented emergency aid gifts to people in flood-affected areas.

BAC NINH - On the afternoon of October 8, the Provincial Red Cross organized a flood relief gift giving ceremony for the authorities and people of Hop Thinh, Hoang Van communes and Van Ha ward. Comrade Lam Thi Huong Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, attended and encouraged.

Comrade Lam Thi Huong Thanh and the working group came to encourage and give relief gifts to the above 3 communes and wards with many necessities including: Bread, water, dry food, sausages and 100 life jackets. The total value of the gifts is 60 million VND; the funding is taken from the Provincial Humanitarian Fund, Vinh Phat Real Estate Joint Stock Company and supporting organizations and individuals.

Comrade Lam Thi Huong Thanh visited people of Hop Thinh commune at their temporary accommodation.

At the places visited, Comrade Lam Thi Huong Thanh kindly asked about and shared the difficulties and losses that people in the flood-affected areas were suffering. She encouraged people to make efforts to overcome difficulties and take care of their health at the shelters.

He requested local authorities to manage and allocate relief goods to the right beneficiaries to avoid waste. Urgently deploy urgent solutions to overcome the consequences of storms and floods; speed up the recovery of production, ensure safety and stabilize people's lives as soon as possible.

Due to the impact of storm No. 11, heavy rain and rising floodwaters caused many places to be deeply flooded, directly affecting the lives of many people and causing serious damage to agricultural production.

It is known that Hop Thinh commune has 3/40 villages (1,087 households, more than 4,500 people), Hoang Van commune currently has 11/43 villages (1,174 households, nearly 5,000 people), Van Ha ward has 3/33 residential groups (2,341 households, more than 8,700 people) completely separated and isolated.

Comrade Lam Thi Huong Thanh and the delegation presented relief goods to representatives of Van Ha ward government.

Faced with the complicated developments of the floods, the Provincial Red Cross Society promptly provided relief aid to affected people in the communes of Yen The, Tan Yen, Bo Ha, Tien Luc, and My Thai.

In the coming time, the Red Cross at all levels in the province will continue to call on and mobilize donors, businesses, and philanthropists to support in order to promptly assist people, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support of our nation.
