Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long requested to overcome the surplus and shortage of teachers.

TPO - Attending the 1st Congress of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2025-2030 term, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long assigned the task to the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for this term to restructure the staff and overcome the surplus and shortage of teachers.

On the afternoon of August 21, the official session of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training , term 2025-2030 took place in Hanoi.

The Congress was held under the motto: "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development". Attending the Congress were 162 delegates from 30 Party cells and affiliated Party committees.

The Congress listened to the Presidium present the Report on verification of delegates' qualifications; the Political Report of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2020-2025 term presented to the Congress; the Review Report of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2020-2025 term presented to the Congress and conducted discussions.

Attending and giving a speech, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long highly appreciated the results that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training has achieved in the 2020-2025 term, such as the work of summarizing Resolution 29 which was effectively implemented; and advised the Politburo to issue Conclusion 91 with many important new points.

The Ministry has drafted a Resolution of the Politburo on breakthroughs and modernization of education and training development. This Resolution will soon be considered and issued by the Politburo with a number of important decisions such as: innovation in thinking, creation of special and outstanding mechanisms and policies in education development and management; overcoming the situation of chasing after achievements; changing the perspective on university autonomy...

The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training, term 2025-2030 took place on August 21 in Hanoi.

The Ministry of Education and Training has focused on developing, perfecting and submitting to the National Assembly many important laws such as the Law amending a number of articles of the 2019 Law on Education, the Law on Higher Education (amended), the Law on Vocational Education (amended), especially advising and submitting to the National Assembly for approval the Law on Teachers, creating a breakthrough in caring for, honoring and developing the teaching staff nationwide.

Universalization of preschool education, primary education, lower secondary education and illiteracy eradication continues to receive attention; the National Assembly has issued a policy on tuition exemption and support for preschool children and secondary school students.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long gave a directive speech.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long noted the following contents: continuing to review, amend and supplement in a timely manner institutions, mechanisms and policies on education and training innovation, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of education; in which priority is given to completing 3 Law projects: Law amending a number of articles of the 2019 Law on Education, Law on Higher Education (amended), Law on Vocational Education (amended) and effectively organizing the implementation of the Law on Teachers.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested a comprehensive review and assessment of the implementation of innovation in general education programs and textbooks to adjust and perfect the General Education Program in accordance with the set goals and requirements, especially after the implementation of the arrangement of administrative units and the organization of two-level local governments.

Continue to review and plan the network of preschool, general education, continuing education, education for the disabled, university and pedagogical college education; effectively implement the policy of exempting and supporting tuition fees for preschool children and general education students. Build schools and classrooms to meet the learning needs associated with the trend of urbanization and population shift, focusing on building boarding schools for primary and secondary levels in 248 land border communes.

Develop, review, amend and supplement appropriate policies and remuneration regimes for the teaching staff; recruit and restructure the teaching staff according to the assigned payroll, and overcome the surplus and shortage of teachers in educational institutions.

Mr. An Dinh Doanh - Deputy Head of the Government Party Committee's Organization Committee - announced the decision of the Government Party Committee's Standing Committee on appointing the 1st Party Committee Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training, term 2025-2030, consisting of 29 members; the 8-member Party Committee Standing Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Education and Training - was appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Viet Loc, Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term were appointed as Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2025-2030 term.

The Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee decided to appoint the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training, term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 5 people, with Mr. Nguyen Viet Loc as Chairman.
