Tan An Ward has 251 food service establishments, 137 street food establishments and 3,869 food production and trading establishments. In order for production and trading establishments to ensure food hygiene and safety, Tan An Ward has promoted propaganda in many forms, posted information on the radio system and the ward's electronic information page; and guided people in choosing, processing, preserving and using safe food.

Mr. Chu Van Viet, Vice Chairman of Tan An Ward People's Committee, said that for this Mid-Autumn Festival alone, the ward has established an inspection team at 9 establishments, including 5 food service establishments, 3 production establishments and 1 food business establishment. The results show that there are still a number of establishments that have not properly implemented the regulations such as: not or not properly implementing the legal regulations on the 3-step food inspection regime, unclear food inspection records, improper storage of food purchase and sale invoices, expired health certificates, etc.
Quang Phu Commune has 750 food production and trading establishments managed by the health, agriculture and environment, and industry and trade sectors. According to the Commune People's Committee, in parallel with the development of trade and services, the locality regularly conducts inspections and supervision of food safety and hygiene. In the first 9 months of 2025, the locality inspected 312 establishments, with 7 establishments failing to meet the standards. During the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, the commune continued to inspect 3 establishments and made corrections and provided guidance on overcoming food safety limitations to protect consumer rights.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tu Do, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Deputy of the Food Safety Steering Committee of Quang Phu commune, in general, the specialized and inter-sectoral inspection and supervision of food safety by management agencies and localities have been coordinated and implemented synchronously. However, the awareness of law compliance of some people is not high, and their knowledge of food safety is limited. Some officials assigned to be in charge of food safety concurrently hold many other fields and jobs, and their capacity is limited. Meanwhile, food safety issues are related to many levels, many sectors, and many contents, so they need attention and professional support from all levels so that localities can better perform their food safety management tasks at the grassroots level.

To ensure the safety of consumers' health, in addition to propaganda work, the Department of Industry and Trade has developed a plan for regular, periodic and surprise inspections and controls at production and business establishments... However, in order for food safety to no longer be a concern for consumers and society, not only the authorities but also consumers themselves must coordinate and equip themselves with knowledge and skills for civilized consumption; businesses and individuals must properly fulfill their responsibilities and regulations on food safety.
