Women in the capital join in "Green Weekend"

Kinhtedothi - Responding to the "Green Weekend" Day in March 2025, responding to the emulation movement "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful", on the morning of March 2, the Women's Union of 30 districts in the city launched a general environmental sanitation campaign.

This is also an activity to practically celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025); 115th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8; 1985 anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising; 60 years of the "Three-capable Women" movement.

In Ba Dinh district, Vice President of the Women's Union of Ba Dinh district Nguyen Tuyet Trinh said that recently, the Women's Union of the district and wards have directed all levels of the Union to organize propaganda and mobilize cadres, members and people to carry out general cleaning every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

In particular, the model of "Garbage-free roads/streets" on main streets and radial streets of wards in the district has been deployed and implemented synchronously by the Association's units throughout the district since the end of December 2024. After more than 2 months of drastic implementation with many solutions and methods, these streets have become cleaner, with no more garbage on the roads and sidewalks...

Responding to the "Green Weekend" Day in March 2025, cadres and women's union members of 13 wards in the area launched a general environmental cleaning campaign in alleys and streets in the area.

At the program, women's union members in Ba Dinh district signed a commitment to classify waste at source, dump waste on time and in the right place; regularly clean the environment and maintain hygiene around the area in front of their houses and in public places...

Along with Ba Dinh district, the Women's Unions of Long Bien, Dong Da, Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Gia Lam, Hoang Mai districts... also simultaneously launched a general environmental cleaning campaign.

Women of Bac Tu Liem district launched a general environmental sanitation campaign and decorated the streets to prepare for the festival on the morning of March 2.

Dong Da women launched a general environmental sanitation campaign under the direction of the district and the initiative of the City Women's Union.

Women of Long Bien district actively responded to the general environmental cleaning, beautifying village roads and streets.
