In the afternoons in the coastal commune of Lien Huong, the new concrete road is straight like a silk strip across the fishing village. The grape vines are full of fruit, security cameras, and solar lights light up the countryside roads at night... All are proof of the vitality of the emulation movements spreading in the community.

Mr. Huynh Cang, a resident of village 7, Lien Huong commune, shared: "The roads are now clear, and I feel more secure going out to watch the sea at night than before. When mobilized, every household contributed labor and money to build roads and lights. If we make the countryside clean, beautiful, and peaceful, the people will benefit first." From the emulation movement in the locality, many rural traffic works have been formed. In the past 5 years, the commune has concretized 13 rural roads with a total length of nearly 4 km, costing more than 4.9 billion VND, most of which were contributed by people and businesses. Besides infrastructure development, the commune focuses on improving the quality of the new rural, advanced new rural and model new rural criteria according to the set of criteria for the period 2021 - 2025. The appearance of the countryside therefore changes every day: village roads and alleys are spacious; the landscape is bright - green - clean - beautiful; the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved.

Not only building roads, the emulation movement also stimulates creativity in production. A typical example is the program "One Commune One Product" (OCOP), currently the commune has 4 products certified with 3-star or higher OCOP certification such as: Hong Nhat grapes - Le My vineyard, high-tech melons of Thien An Cooperative, Royal anchovy fish sauce, cinnamon sausage - silk sausage of Huynh Thien Cam Hong household... contributing to increasing income and affirming the local brand. Along with that, models such as: Linking agricultural tourism development with vineyard experience, Security cameras, Lighting up rural roads, Household waste classification,... attract a large number of people to participate, both improving their lives and preserving a clean green environment, ensuring security and order.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Sa - Chairman of Lien Huong Commune People's Committee said: By 2030, the commune aims to develop rapidly and sustainably in the direction of trade, services, tourism and high-tech agriculture , striving to become the northern coastal trade and service center of the province and an attractive tourist destination, associated with exploiting marine potential, conserving natural resources, and promoting traditional cultural identity.

In the period of 2025 - 2030, the commune will continue to promote patriotic emulation movements associated with synchronous development solutions. The locality will mobilize and effectively use investment resources, prioritizing the completion of essential economic - social infrastructure and key projects such as: Lien Huong Commercial Area; upgrading the traditional market system, especially the commune central market; developing services along the coastal route Lien Huong - Phan Ri Cua.

Lien Huong also aims to develop the marine economy, encourage investment in eco-tourism and marine tourism in Binh Thanh Tourist Area, combine the development of the night-time economy and exploit the potential of Hon Cau Marine Reserve. At the same time, develop high-tech agriculture, build brands for key products, strengthen management of aquatic resources, combat IUU fishing, develop fishery logistics areas, protect forests and coastal corridors.
