District 3 collects more than 5,500 billion VND for the state budget

On the afternoon of February 2, the District Party Committee - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of District 3 held a ceremony to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024).

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Xuan awarded the 65-year Party membership badge to party members.

Reviewing the tradition, comrade Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Secretary of District 3 Party Committee, emphasized that in 2023, the Party Committee, government and people of District 3 unanimously and joined hands to overcome many difficulties and challenges, achieving important and quite comprehensive achievements.

Of which, total revenue from sales of goods and services increased by 14.37% over the same period last year; state budget revenue reached VND 5,574 billion, reaching 100.3% compared to the ordinance estimate. The work of ensuring social security and sustainable, multidimensional poverty reduction according to new criteria has been focused on by the Party Committee and the district government. By the end of 2023, the district has completed the goal of no more poor households according to the city's multidimensional poverty standards for the period 2021 - 2025.

Secretary of District 3 Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Xuan and Standing Deputy Secretary of District 3 Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nam presented the 65-year Party membership badge to party members.

Party building and government building have received attention and implementation, and the effectiveness and efficiency of state management have been improved. The model of "One neighborhood per week" has brought about positive results, contributing to tightening the relationship between the Party, the government, the grassroots party and the people, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of management and administration of governments at all levels.

Implementing the 2024 theme of Ho Chi Minh City, District 3 Party Committee will specify the contents and tasks that are close to the district's situation. In particular, it will focus on further promoting digital transformation, enhancing the application of information technology in administrative reform to gradually build District 3 into a smart city. At the same time, leaders will speed up the implementation of key projects in the district, disburse public investment capital on schedule, and focus on completing compensation and site clearance for Metro Line 2 project in the district.

On this occasion, District 3 Party Committee had 140 Party members receiving the Party Badge. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Xuan emphasized that this is the Party's recognition of Party members' contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Party and the Fatherland. It is also a noble symbol of the Party members' efforts, training, dedication and maturity.

This time, District 3 Party Committee has 140 Party members awarded Party badges. Of which, 1 Party member was awarded 80-year Party badge; 1 Party member was awarded 75-year Party badge; 14 Party members were awarded 65-year Party badge; 6 Party members were awarded 60-year Party badge; 20 Party members were awarded 55-year Party badge; 12 Party members were awarded 50-year Party badge; 7 Party members were awarded 45-year Party badge; 64 Party members were awarded 40-year Party badge; 15 Party members were awarded 30-year Party badge.

On this occasion, District 3 Party Committee commended and presented gifts to 5 exemplary Party Cell Secretaries who have made many contributions and held the position of Party Cell Secretary for many consecutive years.
