Quang Ngai: Proposal to invest in a 300 billion VND flood prevention project

On October 23, the People's Committee of Kon Tum Ward (Quang Ngai Province) said that it had submitted a document to the Provincial People's Committee proposing an investment policy for the Flood Control project in the ward.

The project is invested by Kon Tum Ward People's Committee, with a total estimated capital of 300 billion VND, to be implemented in the period 2026 - 2029. According to the proposal, the project will build 5 drainage lines with a total length of more than 5.1km, connecting to Dak Bla River and Dak Tod Rech stream, to reduce the load on existing drainage channels.

The project is expected to overcome flooding, traffic congestion, environmental pollution, while also completing drainage infrastructure, improving urban aesthetics and stabilizing people's lives.

Previously, as reported, in Kon Tum ward, many roads were often flooded during prolonged heavy rains, seriously affecting people's lives.
