Slight decrease, RON95-III gasoline price falls below 20,000 VND per liter

Except for kerosene, which saw a slight increase, from 3 p.m. on July 17, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND178 per liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND165 per liter. In addition, diesel oil decreased by VND38 per liter and fuel oil decreased by VND85 per kilogram.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued urgent document No. 5285/BCT-TTTN to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline and oil prices.

Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. today (July 17), the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,481 VND/liter, down 178 VND/liter compared to the current price; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 19,925 VND/liter, down 165 VND/liter compared to the current price.

During this period, diesel oil decreased slightly by 38 VND/liter to 18,799 VND/liter and fuel oil decreased by 85 VND to 15,478 VND/kg. Kerosene oil increased by 58 VND, the new price is 18,429 VND/liter.

The operator requested not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products. As for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,084 billion VND, unchanged from the most recent announcement period.

Previously (July 10), the price of E5RON92 gasoline increased by VND214/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by VND184/liter; diesel increased by VND429/liter; kerosene increased by VND239/liter, but mazut decreased by VND244/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it is implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the time for managing the petrol price will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the time for managing the petrol price will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday.
