Therefore, she always longed and wondered to do something to support people with disabilities to integrate into the community, be confident and creative.
After much effort, Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Nga established the Pink Heart Handicraft Cooperative, creating jobs for nearly 50 disabled workers in Trung Gia commune. The main products of the cooperative are handicraft products from wooden beads, such as: Rosewood office chair cushions; curtains, blinds, rosewood massage pillows; rosewood bracelets, rosaries, rosewood car seat covers, rosewood sleeping mats and white oyster mushroom production. The income of each member is 3-5 million VND/person/month.
Notably, the cooperative employs 87% of its workers who are disabled. Each disabled person who comes to study and work at the cooperative has a different situation and fate; some are crippled, limping, mute, deaf, mentally disabled, have stiff jaws, making communication difficult...
The cooperative's handicraft products are not only the result of dedication and perseverance but also the mark of a united and humane community.
