After winning the Special Prize from the Hanoi Singing Contest 2024, Nguyen Moc An was expected to quickly break through and become a prominent face in the youth music scene. However, she chose to go slowly and "hide" for a while, making the audience curious about the singer's life and current plans.

The champion of Hanoi Singing Contest 2024 shares the reason for choosing to "go into hiding" after being crowned.
Looking back on the year since her coronation, Moc An shared that it was a time filled with memories and experiences. The moment she stepped up to the stage to receive the special award is still fresh in her mind, becoming the motivation for her to steadfastly pursue chamber folk music - a genre that Moc An considers the "soul" of her artistic journey.
The highest award not only helps Moc An become more well-known, appearing on many big stages, but also puts pressure on her to be really neat in front of the audience. Instead of considering it a burden, the female singer turns the pressure into motivation to be more selective in her music , affirming that she will not follow the majority, but will stick to folk materials and academics.
She believes that young artists need to have their own path, going slowly but surely, so that each product they release has long-term value and is not just a temporary appearance. For her, perseverance, honesty and steadfastness in art are the keys to going far.
During this time, Moc An sought out trips – where she found new inspiration and energy. “Each trip helped me discover more melodies from nature and people, and then put them into music,” she confided.

Moc An's life became busier as she studied at the National Academy of Music and performed at the same time.
One of Moc An's most passionate projects with the support of Hanoi Radio and Television Station is the upcoming MV Returning to the River of Childhood, a song associated with childhood memories by the river of Ha Tinh. This is not only a tribute to the homeland but also a milestone marking a turning point in the artistic journey. In addition, the album Ha Tinh in Me will also be released on many international platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes.
Off stage, Moc An’s life became busier as she studied at the National Academy of Music and performed. Fortunately, she always received support from her family, teachers and colleagues. “Every time I sing about my homeland, I feel like I am given more strength,” she confided.
To balance between studying and performing, she often takes advantage of trips back to her hometown or tours in the province to explore, exchange, and find more inspiration for her compositions. It is these experiences that have helped Moc An have more material to put into her music and keep her emotions fresh.
Nguyen Moc An hopes that in the next 5-10 years there will be more well-crafted musical products, associated with the folk chamber music genre - which is also a way to affirm his own mark in the hearts of the public.
