SCB stops Internet Banking service for individual customers

ANTD.VN - Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB) has announced the temporary suspension of Internet Banking services for individual customers, starting from 00:00 on December 12, 2024.

To continue making online transactions, SCB recommends customers to use SCB Mobile Banking service. Note, customers need to use identification documents such as Citizen ID card with chip to register and use SCB Mobile Banking service.

SCB continuously reduces the scale and services provided to customers.

Recently, SCB has been continuously changing its policies towards customers. Recently, this bank has announced the temporary suspension of the new SCB Premier Membership ranking policy, from November 10, 2024 and the exclusive incentives for premium banking service members - SCB Premier, from December 10, 2024.

The collection of fees for using products/services of this customer group will be applied according to SCB's current policy.

In addition, this bank regularly changes the card withdrawal limit and Napas 247 fast money transfer limit. At one point, the fast money transfer limit of this bank was reduced to only 10 million VND/day/customer (on September 12, 2024). Currently, these transactions have a maximum limit of 50 million VND/time/day/customer.

Along with suspending many services, recently, SCB has continuously terminated the operations of transaction offices across the country.

In November alone, the bank closed four transaction offices and in October, 11. Since June last year, the bank has closed a total of about 130 transaction offices.

SCB Bank is under special control. In Resolution No. 218/NQ-CP dated November 12, 2024, the regular Government meeting in October 2024, the Government assigned the State Bank to complete a handling plan for SCB in December 2024.
