Nursing students do internships and receive diplomas in Japan

The first batch of students from a college participating in a nursing internship program in Japan under a memorandum of cooperation have just received their diplomas and will continue working in Japan.


On February 18, the leaders of Danang Oriental College said that after receiving their nursing degrees in Nagasaki province, all students wish to continue working in Japan.

Previously, on the afternoon of February 17 (Japan time), at the administrative headquarters of Nagasaki province, Danang Oriental College coordinated with the Department of Welfare and Health Care of Nagasaki province (Japan) to organize a graduation ceremony for Vietnamese students.

These are the first batch of students to participate in a nursing internship program in Japan from 6 months to 1 year before graduation, according to the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of nursing between the school and the Nagasaki Provincial Department of Welfare and Health Care (signed on January 12, 2023).

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Ngoc Quy, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Principal of Phuong Dong College, Da Nang, congratulated the students on successfully completing their internship.

Mr. Nakajima Shuji, Director of Keiju-en Nursing Home (Nagasaki), which has been accepting interns for nearly a year, also highly appreciated the efforts of the Vietnamese students. "They have diligently studied Japanese and have very good care skills. When interacting with the elderly, they are very gentle... That has had a positive impact on our staff," Mr. Nakajima Shuji commented.

Moved when receiving her graduation certificate in the land of the rising sun, student Pham Thi Thuy Trang shared that during her time studying and working in Japan, she and her friends encountered many difficulties and confusion, but she has grown more mature from those new experiences.

"I will remember the teachings of Japanese teachers that graduation is not the end of learning but the beginning of a new learning process. My friends and I all hope to continue working in Japan," student Pham Thi Thuy Trang confided.

The first graduation ceremony held in Nagasaki Prefecture - Japan marked an important milestone in the cooperation journey between Danang Oriental College and Nagasaki Department of Welfare and Health Care in the field of nursing, opening up opportunities for students to study, experience and find good jobs in Japan.

In addition to maintaining programs to send students to practice and work in Japan, the school has recently expanded cooperation with many partners from the US and Korea.
