Recorded on the afternoon of August 25 in the coastal area of Nghi Son and Tien Trang, the sky was gloomy, rain poured down, waves rose high, and the wind howled.
On the coastal roads of Nghi Son ward, a series of trees were uprooted and fell across the road.
At about 2:30 p.m., at Nghi Son beach, waves 2-4 meters high continuously hit the shore.
A large tree broke and blocked Highway 1A through Tinh Gia ward. Authorities had to be present in time to direct traffic.
At 3:30 p.m., at Tien Trang commune, 4-5 meter high waves overflowed the sea dike, hitting straight into the casuarina forest in Tan village.

The strong winds caused electric poles in Tien Trang commune to fall and be damaged. Local residents said they were very worried as the storm had not yet made landfall but the damage was already evident.
According to forecasts, by 7 p.m. tonight (August 25), the storm center will be on the mainland from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh , with the strongest wind near the storm center at level 10-11, gusting to level 13, moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 15-20 km/hour.
The sea area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri (including Hon Ngu and Con Co islands) is expected to have strong winds of level 8-11, near the storm center level 12-13, gusting to level 16; waves 5-7 meters high, near the storm center 8-10 meters, and very rough seas.
On land, North Thanh Hoa has strong winds of level 8-9, gusts of level 10-11; South Thanh Hoa - North Ha Tinh has winds of level 10-11, areas near the storm center have winds of level 12-13, gusts of level 14-15.
