Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van worked with units on health care for provincial officials.

On the afternoon of October 5, at the meeting room of the Provincial People's Committee (facility 2), comrade Nguyen Thien Van, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with the Department of Health, Phu Yen General Hospital, Provincial Center for Health Care of Officials, Department of Finance, Department of Home Affairs on the work of protecting and taking care of the health of provincial officials after the merger.

According to reports from units, from July 2025, the Provincial Cadre Health Care Center was under the Phu Yen General Hospital. Due to the revocation of the seal, many difficulties arose such as the regular procurement packages and the periodic health examination procurement packages were temporarily suspended; the periodic health examination plan was implemented from the beginning of August 2025 but has not been implemented yet... This has created negative public opinion about the health care work of provincial cadres (mainly in the Eastern region).

Comrade Nguyen Thien Van, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs said that after the merger of the province, it is appropriate to transfer the Provincial Cadre Health Care Center from an independent unit to a specialized department of Phu Yen General Hospital.

Regarding the issue of investment in equipment procurement, the representative of the Department of Health said that the 2025 funding source for health activities is 29 billion VND. Currently, this funding source is still available, ensuring the upgrading of infrastructure, investment in equipment for medical examination, treatment and health care of provincial officials.

In the coming time, Phu Yen General Hospital can arrange the Internal Medicine Department at the Provincial Cadre Health Care Center to serve the health care work for provincial cadres.

Mr. Pham Minh Huu, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, provided specific information on the issue.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van said: "The project to arrange and establish the Center for Health Protection of cadres according to the new model is still in the construction stage. Before the project is officially approved, the Provincial People's Committee will listen and accept the opinions of all parties, on the basis of new regulations from the policy to adjust in accordance with reality".
